Mathias Brenner studied law at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, specialising in criminal law (criminology). He completed his legal traineeship in the Stuttgart Higher Regional Court district at Ellwangen Regional Court, with a focus on criminal law (criminal justice administration), including placements at the Ellwangen Public Prosecutor’s Office, at a corporate group in the area of compliance, and at a law firm specialising in criminal defence.
Before joining Stirnweiss Brenner Rechtsanwälte, Mathias Brenner worked as an attorney-at-law in a mid-sized law firm in Stuttgart in the field of criminal law, as well as for an insurance group and another law firm.
