On September 10, 2024, the BNN reported on the trial before the Pforzheim Regional Court concerning the gang rape of a 13-year-old. According to the indictment, several young men contacted the victim via social media last year and lured her to a meeting under false pretenses. There, massive assaults occurred. The case caused great shock in the region and is being tried in an extensive proceeding in which, in addition to criminal prosecution, aspects of juvenile criminal law also play a role.
